Daily Health Assessment

Daily Assessments should occur for an early detection. It is important for the teachers to note any changes that may occur in a child's health. Sometimes it help the teacher to know/ and understand the child's current cognitive level, social, and emotional health. For an example if the teacher see someone teeth hurting, the teacher has the responsibility to make a referral for the sake of the child. I would make a daily assessment everyday on the children that not being on the right development at the age.

  1. Hello,
I think you made an excellent point when you said that daily assessments should occur for early detection of illness. At my first job, daily health assessments weren't part of our routine and I noticed that the children were sick much more often. Daily health assessments are also important because sometimes the teacher will wonder, what is going on with this child, but not know the child is sick and that's why they may be acting out.
